Photographing Morgan and Ryan’s wedding at Oakview Acres was so much fun especially because not only are they both hilarious, but all of their friends are, too. I was cracking up the whole time, and it just went on all night long. In the evening, we got a gloriously sunset that came over the hill creating the most amazing light for our final portrait session of the day. Ideally, I want to catch the light just before it dips below the horizon, which only last for so long, so in this situation I’d be scrambling in my mind for something funny to say to get the couple I’m photographing to loosen up and give me a good expression. But Morgan and Ryan were just so into each other, their senses of humor so aligned that it was pretty effortless. It’s really fun to watch two people vibing with each other on that level. A few months before the wedding, Morgan and Ryan actually moved from Brooklyn to Portland to put down new roots, and I’m very happy that these two new wonderful people have been added to my hometown. 🙂 — KC

Awesome set of images, I actually came across you on shotkit, are you still using the sigma 35 and 50 art lenses?
