Lauren and Brennan hosted their wedding at Gorge Crest Vineyards one of my favorite venues to photograph in the Columbia River Gorge. Gorge Crest Vineyards is located on the Washington side of the Columbia River Gorge across from Hood River. It features a gorgeous barn with large doors that face open toward Mt Hood framed by tall trees on either side of the property. Unfortunately, Mt Hood was obscured for the majority of the wedding, but the soaring puffy clouds overhead, sprawling vineyards, and rolling hills were dramatic in their own way. Lauren at Brenna, originally from the midwest, moved out west about 5 years ago and settled in Portland, given it’s close proximity to skiing and snowboarding up at the mountain. Many of their guests likewise traveled to join them on their wedding day. They picked the Columbia River Gorge and Gorge Crest Vineyards in particular because of its close proximity to the outdoor activities they love and to share their new home with their friends and family. 🙂 — KC
