A Stunning Griffin House Wedding

A Griffin House wedding is a breathtaking experience, with panoramic views of the Columbia River Gorge and an intimate yet spacious setting perfect for celebrating with loved ones. Cori and Evan, who met in the Peace Corps in Ghana, chose this stunning venue to host 175 of their friends and family from around the world for a lively and unforgettable wedding day.

Getting Ready in the Bright and Airy Griffin House

Evan and his groomsmen got ready in the lower level of the Griffin House, where he entertained everyone by playing a didgeridoo. Meanwhile, Cori had her makeup done upstairs as her bridesmaids practiced their surprise dance routine for the reception. The sunroom on the upper floor provided the perfect space for a joyful mimosa toast before the day’s events began. The Griffin House’s well-lit interior made for beautiful getting-ready photos, with dedicated spaces for both partners to prepare comfortably.

A Romantic First Look and Ceremony with a View

With the summer sun shining bright, Cori and Evan opted for a shaded first look on the front deck of the Griffin House. Cori stepped out the front door and tapped Evan on the shoulder, their faces lighting up as they saw each other in their wedding attire. We then wandered the lush grounds for portraits, saving the dramatic cliffside shots with the Columbia River Gorge for sunset. The iconic rock wall and the grand arching oak tree made for stunning backdrops, capturing the romance of the day.

Their ceremony took place on the Griffin House’s stone platform, perched above the river with glacial-cut mountains in the distance. As Cori’s veil danced in the Gorge wind, the couple exchanged heartfelt vows, smiling through happy tears. Their parents shared touching speeches before the newlyweds sealed their love with a kiss.

An Epic Reception Under the Tent

The reception tent below the ceremony site was decorated with bold pink table runners and lush green garlands. A live band kept the energy high, especially when Cori and her bridesmaids performed a fierce, synchronized dance to a Beyoncé song. Just as the crowd cheered, Evan and his groomsmen hilariously interrupted with their own goofy dance, culminating in Evan’s unexpected yo-yo performance that left guests chuckling.

As the party continue, Cori and Evan’s friends lifted them high into the air on the dance floor with their arms raised high in excitement. The night ended with a glow stick send-off, with guests waving colorful lights as the newlyweds shared one last kiss beneath the glowing celebration of their incredible Griffin House wedding.
