Patricia and Jeffrey flew all the way from Dallas, Texas, to host their wedding at the beautiful Leach Botanical Garden in SE Portland. Patricia is originally from the Northwest with family in Washington, so Portland made perfect sense for a wedding destination. As it so happens, last October I had the amazing opportunity to travel to Dallas to also photograph their engagement session at the Dallas Arboretum, which you can view here. So between Leach Botanical Garden and the arboretum, we had an abundance of gorgeous foliage to incorporate into Patricia and Jeffrey’s photographs. The cool thing about Leach Botanical Garden is that it’s kind of a tucked away secret gem in SE Portland that few people know about. If you’re into botanicals, it’s perfect for a casual weekend stroll but also perfect for a wedding venue. Behind the cute little main house there’s an idyllic courtyard that makes for a wonderful ceremony and reception location surrounded by a canopy of trees that provides ample shading for guests during the hot summer and lends a fairytale atmosphere to dance and celebrate beneath. 🙂 — KC
