A Romantic Mt Hood Organic Farms Wedding

A few weeks ago, I photographed Katie and Joel’s romantic wedding at Mt Hood Organic Farms. I was really looking forward to their wedding because I had so much fun collaborating with Katie and Joel on their engagement photos last fall while exploring Sauvie Island. If you’re curious you can find that session HERE. Their wedding was just as beautiful with Mt Hood serving as the perfect backdrop during the ceremony. It felt like you could reach out and touch it. After the ceremony, the guests converged for cocktails and lawn games and then sat down for dinner in the Apple House, where the venue makes cider when they’re not hosting weddings. Then shortly after the dancing got started, everyone went out on the lawn where they were treated to a beautiful sunset that sculpted the crags of Mt Hood with pinkish hues.

Based on the level of excited that everyone had for the newlyweds, I’m sure that there were more than a few happy-sad guests at the wedding with the knowledge that Katie and Joel would be moving to Charlotte, North Carolina, just a few short weeks after their wedding. In fact, they might be on their way as I type this, and I’m sure they have quite the adventure ahead of them as they start their new lives together in a new city. So, Katie and Joel, I wish you two the best of luck with your move, and thank you so much for inviting me in to take place during this special moment in your lives. It was an honor! — KC

The link I gave for the parody has a half-way decent description but I can look around for something better.
