The Croft Farm Sauvie Island Wedding Photography

Before Jenna and Joe’s wedding at The Croft Farm on Sauvie Island, I spent an hour with Joe and his guys at a trendy local Portland barbershop called Cloak & Dagger. Along with their fresh shaves, Joe and his guys also got whiskey shots to loosen up before the day got under way. It was really fun getting to be present for this part of the day, as it’s the kind of event that couples don’t often think to have photographed. But I honestly love photographing anything and everything the couple gives me access to so I have every opportunity to better tell their wedding day story. You never know when an extra special moment will crop up! While the guys got pampered, Jenna and her gals were getting ready in a cute little casita at The Croft Farm. The outer walls had rustic corrugated metal sheathing that added an interesting vibe to the overall aesthetic of the day, which was a pleasure to photograph. The Croft Farm has a gorgeous brand new barn that they recently built for indoor ceremony and receptions. They previously had an old Airstream trailer on the property, but apparently they sold it to build the barn. However, it seemed like a good trade because the barn was beautiful, and it offered a shady respite from the hot summer sun. Jenna and Joe’s ceremony in the barn was so touching. Every experience I had with them showed how genuinely sincere, kind and optimistic they are, and everything about their ceremony reflected that. 🙂 — KC
